Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Kiesha Allison is the co-founder and president of Fetching Foods, an ultra-premium pet food company based in Las Vegas, NV. Ms. Allison’s work at Fetching Foods has impacted the community and state, recognized as a community leader by the Clark County Board of Commissioners and both US Senators, Jackie Rosen and Catherine Cortez-Masto. She has helped diversify Nevada’s manufacturing economic base, used her business to uplift displaced culinary workers by training them in food manufacturing skills, supports several local pet rescue organizations, and proudly represents women and minority businesses through various local outreach programs and mentoring.

Upon realizing the harmful effects and health risks that highly processed foods have not only in humans but also in animals, Ms. Allison and her husband decided to establish Fetching Foods in 2016 to provide more nutritious food options for beloved pets. Apart from overseeing the logistics of the company’s production, Ms. Allison ensures unparalleled customer service by ensuring that all orders are tallied, completed, and shipped on time. She also has a dedicated website where customers can purchase dog and cat products directly online.

Ms. Allison’s success in the pet industry has garnered her recognition in more than 90 national newspapers, including feature articles in several leading pet magazines such as Pet Product News and Pet Food Processing in 2022. She was also highlighted on the front page of the Las Vegas Review-Journal in 2022 for the many products and services her company has to offer customers. Looking forward to many more years of success in the industry, Ms. Allison aims to expand Fetching Food by becoming a nationally and internationally recognized franchise.

Prior to becoming an entrepreneur, Ms. Allison managed several small businesses for more than a decade. She has also worked in the health care sector as a dental assistant early in her career. Supporting various nonprofit organizations that support animals, including the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals and The Animal Foundation, Ms. Allison also provides support to local animal shelters by donating much-needed food to adoptable pets.

Ms. Allison received an associate’s degree from El Camino Community College in 1999. She also received credentials as a registered and licensed dental assistant.

Honoring her achievements, Ms. Allison garnered recognition from Senator Jacky Rosen and Senator Catherine Cortez Masto of the U.S. Congress as a small business for successfully employing all her staff members during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2022. Additionally, Ms. Allison received a Clark County Proclamation from the Clark County Board of Supervisors for continued success and growth as a small business in 2022.
