I have been trying to make my own raw for a few years. Experimenting with different meats, and the different raw supplements.
I found Fetching Foods while on a temporary work assignment away from home, and without my grinder. My cats and I tried a variety of different Just Cat proteins. They both adore the JC Pork.
Now that I am home, I started making my raw again. For the past few months, nothing was satisfying their appetite. Even toppers were short lived. They just lick it right off. I live in an extremely rural area and quite the distance from a convenient airport to take advantage of the air shipment price for shipping. But in desperation, I caved and bought a bulk amount of JCPork. Troy was so helpful in making the shipping process easy, and when opening the box, I had a little dry ice to spare. The moment I put some of the JC Pork down, they scarfed it up! And have been doing so ever since. NO toppers!

My cat loves the pork, but since it’s a fattier protein (which you can see from the marbling in the package), it doesn’t seem to sit as well in his tummy. Then again, he’s a pretty sensitive boy, and it doesn’t take much to upset his belly. I’ll keep buying the pork, because I value feeding a range of proteins, but I’ll just rotate it with less fatty proteins like the rabbit.

My internal medicine veterinarian saw my cat’s latest bloodwork, the protein level in your Just cat food is super high. Hence, adding to the deteriorating factor with his kidneys. When he started having trouble with his kidneys, I called you to make sure this food was good for him. You told me it was. I had just received a new order from you, last Wednesday. I will have to throw it all away. Feeding him this food helped create his kidney disease.
In the beginning, I thought the raw food was good for him. I know older cats can get this disease, raw food increased it.
